    PUBLICITY FOR LAS VEGAS At this time Mr. Mel Israelson, representative of the Deseret News appeared before the Board requesting that the City buy some space to publicize Las Vegas in their special Christmas issue. Mr. Israelson was informed that there was no provision made in the budget for this purpose. LEASE AGREEMENT - Commissioner Bunker moved the lease agreement with the Las Vegas Union School District to Las Vegas Union Schools lease certain real property in Sunrise Acres for school facilities be approved and the Sunrise Acres Property Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Gragin and Commissioner Moore. GAMING APPLICATIONS - Commissioner Bunker moved the following applications for renewal of gaming licenses for Renewals the fourth quarter of 1950 be approved: Paul Warner & Sid Martin OVERLAND ARCADE 4 Fremont 4 slots Theodore Michelas TASTY PASTRY SHOP 413 Fremont 2 slots Virginia Barrett VIRGINIA’S CAFE 917 Fremont 2 slots Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. Additional Commissioner Bunker moved the application of the Las Vegas Club, by A. F. Schellang, 18 Fremont for license for six additional slot machines for the fourth quarter of 1950 be approved. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. Changes - Commissioner Peccole moved the applications of L. P. Lawrence, Andy's Liquor Store, 1320 New Locations North D Street for license for three slot machines and C. R. Millhizer, El Sombrero Cafe, 807 South Main Street for license for two slot machines for the fourth quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner. Peccole moved the application of B. D. Bunyard, Manager, Safeway Stores, Inc. New 1300 E. Charleston for a Retail Beverage license for the fourth quarter of 1950 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His, Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. Commissioner Bunker moved the following new applications for liquor licenses for the fourth quarter of 1950 be denied: Robert C. Brodine, Jr. ACME LIQUOR STORE 1207 South Main Retail Package Liquor Frank L. Levi ECONOMY ICE SERVICE 422 Jefferson Retail Restaurant Beverage Frank Dio Dato STANDARD MARKET 602 South 5th Retail Package Liquor Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. PROPOSED ORDINANCE - Commissioner Peccole moved that action on the proposed ordinance licensing and regulating Bicycles bicycles be tabled until October 25, 1950. Motion seconded ty Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore. REFUND ON LICENSE Commissioner Peccole moved the request for refund of $150.00 overcharge on license fees FEES from January 1, 1947 to October 1, 1950, to Mrs. Nellie Robe be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Cragin and Commissioner Moore.
