(CO - Mr. Frank Strong) Referring to your le tte r o f January 6th, f i l e ¥ 18-6—2, requesting data on water produced and consumed at la s Vegas, Nevada, for year 1946 fo r your use in compiling annual report to Nevada Public Service Commission: I am attaching hereto statement showing the to ta l gallons o f water sold and used in Las Vegas during year 1946, also another statement showing the amount o f water produced and consumed and the gallons o f overflow at the reservoir for the year 1946. By comparing the attached statements with the statement enclosed with your le tte r o f January 6th, you w ill note there is a differen ce in the to ta l gallons o f water furnished to LVL&W Co. fo r the months o f June, July, August, September and October. The differen ces are due to the amount o f water recorded as flowing through the Charleston Boulevard meter which was running only partly f u l l , whereas, the meter recorded as i f the lin e was running en tirely f a l l and adjustment was made based on estimates fam ished by Water Service Foreman Mr. Jofen Snort. Also due to differen ce in elevation between old and new reservoirs, the water which passed through the Charleston Bovd. meter backed through the Clark Street meter into the old reservoir with the resu lt that the Clark Street meter ran backwards and i t was necessary to deduct from the to ta l o f the water recorded on meters at Ogden Street, west side and Charleston Blvd., the amount recorded as backing through the Clark Street meter. Records indicate a net addition o f 11,105 lin . f t . o f transmission lin e in 1946, Including the 24* Charleston Blvd. lin e , which is detailed by size o f pipe as follow s: Size and kind of Added Removed Net Charged Pipe Lin.F t.
