quarter; sleeping rooms, $2.25 per quarter; rooms where cooking facilities are furnished, $3.00 per quarter; payable each and every three month period in advance commencing on the 1st day of July, 1953, and continuing on the 1st day of each three months thereafter. (C) Places of business and public buildings. The quarterly charge for collecting, hauling and disposing of garbage, rubbish, dirt and dead animals from places of business, and public buildings, shall be determined by the number of receptacles required by each such place of business or public buildings, and by the number of daily collections from each per week in accordance with the following table: Number of 2 Collections 6 Collections 7 Collections Receptacles Per Week Per Week Per Week 1 $ 9.00 $ 37.50 $ 45.00 2 $18.00 $ 52.50 $ 63.00 For each additional receptacle over two there shall be added $15.00 for six collections per week, or $18.00 for seven collections per week; provided, however, that places of business or public buildings which require more than two receptacles and receive service on a two collection per week basis, shall pay the same monthly charge as for six collections per week. SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 490 and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. The effective date of this Ordinance shall be July 1, 1953. SECTION 4. The City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas shall cause this Ordinance to be published once a week for two successive weeks immediately following its reading and adoption in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a Daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas. Schellack being first duly sworn, deposes and says: That he is Foreman of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL, a daily newspaper, of general circulation, printed and published at Las Vegas, in the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the attached was continuously published in said newspaper for a period of two insertions from June 30, 1953 to July 7, 1953 inclusive, being the issues of said newspaper for the following dates, to-wit: June 30, 1953, July 7, 1953. Schellack_______________ Subscribed and sworn to before me this 7th day of July, 1953. s/_____Neola Gierhart________________ My Commission Expires April l4, 1954 Notary Public in and for Clark County} Nevada EMERGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 557 AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RATIFYING, APPROVING AND CONFIRMING ACTION DIRECTED TOWARD THE IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS AND PARTS THEREOF, THE CREATION OF STREET IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 100-11, AND THE ISSUANCE OF IMPROVEMENT BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SAID BONDS; PRESCRIBING DETAILS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, in the County of Clark and State of Nevada, on the 1st day of July, 1953, did publicly sell its City of Las Vegas Assessment District No. 100-11, Street Improvement Bonds, Series of June 1, 1953, in the aggregate principal amount of $8,557.99, in accor­dance with the laws of the State of Nevada, and City of Las Vegas; and WHEREAS, said Board desires to authorize and direct the issuance of said bonds.
