    356-B RESOLUTION NO. 139 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING On motion of Commissioner Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner Clark, and carried DEED — Clos unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted and order made: Charleston Blvd. BE IT RESOLVED, this 7th day of March, 1949, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed dated the 24th day of February, 1949, executed by Cuba Clos and Peter Clos to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes and intentions as therein set forth, and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and filed in the records of this Board. TAXI APPLICATION Commissioner Whipple moved that pursuant to the Investigation of the Police Department of Checker Cab - Wm Lyons William A. Lyons who applied for a taxi license operated under the name of Checker Cab Corporation, this application be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ZONE EXCEPTION CASE Commissioner Baskin moved that pursuant to the favorable recommendation of the Regional No. 67 - Frank Ball Planning Commission as per their letter dated March 4, 1949, the request of Frank Ball Buck's Subdivision for commercial use of Lot 16, Block 15, Buck's Subdivision be approved with the conditions as set forth by the Regional Planning Commission. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CRESTWOOD HOMES, Commissioner Clark moved that upon the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission TRACT #2 - Final Map contained in their letter dated March 4, 1949, the final map of Crestwood Homes Tract #2 Approved be approved. Further that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement when presented. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. HILLSIDE TERRACE — Commissioner Clark moved that upon the recommendation of the Regional Planning Commission Final Map Approved contained in their letter dated March 4, 1949, the final map of Hillside Terrace be approved. Further that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement when presented. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIBRARY LOCATION Commissioner Baskin moved that the request of the Citizens' Library Association for the property at Fourth Street and Stewart Avenue as the site for the proposed library be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ORDINANCE NO. 380 An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AUCTIONEERS AND AUCTION SALES IN THE CITY Of Auctioneers 1st Reading LAS VEGAS; REQUIRING PERMITS FOR THE CONDUCT OF AUCTION SALES AND FIXING THE FEES THEREFORE: PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS FOR THE DURATION AND MANNER OF THE CONDUCT OF AUCTION SALES; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATING THERETO, was reported on favorably by Commissioners Moore and Whipple and read in full to the Board for a first time. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that Ordinance No. 380 be approved on its first reading. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Clark moved that this meeting recess until March 8, 1949 at the hour of 3:00 P.M.
