Los Angeles, April 22, 1929 9215-31 Mr. f. B, McHamee; You will recall, when we established new Industrie! tract at Las Vegas recently, we relocated an old road that has been in existence for some years and which incidentally provided direot access to a small triangular piece of property owned by a Mr. McWilliams. As you know, the relocation of this road was discussed when Mr. Strong and I were talking with you regarding location of water mains to serve our newly established industrial tract, when it was thought that by permitting this old road to remain where it was, notwithstanding fact that we intended to improve the new portion which was to be relocated, Mr. McWilliams Could still have proper egress and ingress* however, it now appears that Mr. McWilliams has registered a complaint with the City Commissioners, contending that our action will have the effect of shutting him off altogether from the public highway. Mr. Bracken’s letter April 19th to me stated he was awaiting your son Leo's return to Las Vegas, when he would go into the situation with him and be prepared to attend meeting which the Mayor and City Commissioners intend holding to consider McWilliams' complaint. 1 shall, therefore, appreciate it if you will ask Leo to render Mr. Bracken any assistance necessary to protect our interests. As I understand the situation, it involves our legal rights in the premises, and of course, if the relocation of a portion of the road in question is going to involve a suit for damages, we should adopt some other plan in connecting up this new industrial tract with the main public highway. From advice received from Mr. Bracken F. H. Knickerbocker co-Mr. W. It. Bracken Mr.Frank Strong
