December 11, 1953 Mr* 0* M. Bates - Los Angeles oct Mr* Wn* Beinhardt I am submitting herewith two copies of recorded deeds covering ownership by J* H* Clerk and Iris w. Clark In three parcels of land which adjoin North Main Street and extend easterly approximately 150* immediately south of the north line of the southeast § of Seation 27* I understand that the deed whioh Is recorded in Book 73# * Page 9 Includes a 501 strip parallel and adjacent to the section line# ownership whioh has been transferred to the City for street purposes* All of these deeds encroach upon an easement which Is held by the Water Company for an existing12“ water main# which runs parallel to North Main Street approximately 1501 easterly thereof and Mr* Clark is now requesting that the Water Company release a portion of the easement to him for building purposes* Please refer to the Agreement *N“t.*D, 796-1 whioh covers a similar situation with the Wlttver family and which is dated February 18, 1953* It is my recommendation that the portion of the easement be released under an Agreement containing the same provisions as Included in «!4«L. D. 796-1 with the Wlttwer family.
