X do remember quite vividly Rosenstein trying to get an ad from Mat King Cole by threatening to give him a bad review on his show at the Sands. Needless to say, he didn't get the ad. When Mat told me about it, X put it up to Jake directly, and he sort of hedged it off at first, then told me that he didn't think it was right to give good reviews to hotels whose stars don't take ads for him. X also had several other run-ins with this character personally* One time, when X was sitting with some people in the Garden Room, Jake came over and sat down without an Invitation, as he knew the other people, showfolk. I ignored him until one of them said, "Why don't you two be friends?" X tried to be polite until he poked me on the arm, and pointing to one of the Sands CopaOirls, said, "X want her ?╟÷ 1 mean X want to meet her. Call me over to her, Freeman." At this point* X invited him outside, and when he chickened out, X Insulted him, cursing him for ten minutes, until he finally left the hotel, swearing vengeance on me. Another time, at a poolside party at the Flamingo, he Insulted Bal Wilson's wife by saying, "X don't know why Sari calls you his BW (beautiful wife) ?╟÷ you're not so pretty!" I started to grab him to throw him in the pool, but Bari himself stopped me, saying, "Al, that's Just what this guy mats ?╟÷ notoriety ?╟÷ ghen he can sue you for money." That"s about all that ernes to my mind at present ~* but count on me for anything you need to defend yourself against this man, Bud. And let me know when you plan to come up, so we can needle Ben.
