At the age of ten he was working as a model and doing commercials. He went to Performing Arts High School where he studied dance, music and drama. Steve started working as a song-and-dance man on Broadway in a revival of the Ziegfeld Follies with Tallulah Bankhead and in "Happy Hunting" with Ethel Merman. Also TV shows such as Perry Como, Ed Sullivan, Arthur Murray Party, and many TV specials. He partnered Carol Lawrence in the Persian Room of the Plaza Hotel. After that he was given the lead in the Broadway production of "Cindy. " After reading the New York critics1 notices of "Cindy, " Warner Bros, brought him out to California to test for the role of Ensign Pulver. He not only received the role, but a long-term contract. Since "Mister Roberts, " Steve has made guest appearances on most of the new series shows, along with three musical appearances on the Bell Telephone Hour. He has been seen in such summer stock shows as "West Side Story, " "Bye- Bye Birdie, " "Oklahoma!" and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. " He was featured in Walt Disney1 s "The One and Only, Genuine, Original, Family Band. "
