The radio portion of the contest began today and the television portion will be Monday, April 2nd. and will run for three weeks. Will forward a complete breakdown of the promotion just as soon as we have concluded same. For your information, we decided to cancel the Des Moines promotion as we could not fulfill our original committ- ment to you in this situation. Due to the change in playdate it was impossible to devote a full two weeks to this promotion and thus felt that the participants, i.e., the Sands Hotel, the charter airline service, MGM, the theatre and the station, would not receive full benefit therefrom.
