"Blit" Schroeder, Chuck Benedict CO-CHAIRMEN: Irv Terry, Rudy La Russo EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: David Marmel July 1, 1969 Mr. A1 Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear A1: Unfortunately, I did not get the opportunity to see you prior to my departure in order to personally thank you for another award winning performance by all departments of the Sands Hotel. It is absolutely incredible how the management and staff rose to the situation in all phases of this complicated weekend. You will be gratified to know that most of the comments heard here in Los Angeles following our stay at the Sands, were positive and complimentary. I earnestly hope that the manage- ment of your organization enjoyed what occurred both in the Grand Ballroom last Saturday night and, perhaps, in the casino prior and subsequent to the show. On behalf of the Sportsmen?╟╓s Club, its officers and members, as well as the City of Hope Medical Center, I extend heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to you and everyone at the Sands who extended every possible courtesy and assistance to insure the ultimate success of our venture.
