One picture we would like to be a four-color picture and the other a black & white shot. Naturally, the most colorful of the two outfits chosen would be the one to do in color?╟÷and usually that is the sports outfit. Sinatra can wear a hat with one of the two outfits, if he wants to, because I think the public often associates him with a hat. As for the color, an 8" x 10" shot is much preferred* a U" x 5" is acceptable, but a 2" x 2" rollei sh^ cannot be used by us. It is too small to blow up and make good from. As for the black & white shots, if the photographer can send us contacts, we will pick one out and then he can get a blow-up for us or he can send us the contacts and the negatives and we can make our own print. That would be better for us. As for payment, we pay little compared to other magazines, but X foresee no problems on this score. We would pay #125. for the two pictures?╟÷one color, one black & white plus all color film costs. If this becomes a problem, let me know. I believe you said Sinatra would be at The Sands in late October or early November. This is just perfect for us to meet deadlines for our March issue. Later than that we start to have problems. It may be of interest to you that we have been trying to get Twentieth Century Fox to agree to let us take some fashion shots with the filming of Can-Can?╟÷in which, of course, Hr. Sinatra appears?╟÷as a ?·as?·ion back- ground. T have been talking to Mr. Harry Brand of their Nmrtfeiffk office but got nowhere. He feels the production crew would never stand to have anyone around. They would be exciting editorial pages for us and would work in beautifully with Sinatra as our fashion personality. Have you any suggestions on this score? I was very happy that I had the opportunity to meet you in Hr ?╟≤ Miller1 s office and hope to see you again in New fork. Please let me know immedi- ately if you foresee any difficulties in getting Sinatra at the time stated because I will now be planning on those two pages, one in color, for our March issue.
