JB Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen For
YOUTH DAY INSPIRATION FLIGHT Saturday, February 17, 2001
McCarron Airport - Concourse D - Gate 33 - 4:00 p.m.
The Organization of Black Airline Pilots and the JB Knighten Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. are teaming up to introduce minority children to the world of aviation. On February 17, 2001 at McCarran Airport, a United Airlines jet will fly up to 125 youngsters around the Las Vegas area for about one hour. An all minority crew from United Airlines will be in charge of the flight. The flight crew, along with personnel from Nellis Air Force Base who work in aviation, will be in the concourse to talk to youngsters before the flight. Each child will receive a T-shirt and certificate commemorating the occasion. Burger King in Concourse b will provide each child with a meal at no charge. The flight is scheduled to take off around 6:00 p.m. and return about 7:00 p.m.
Members of Theta Theta Omega Chapter are helping to make this event a success by identifying 30 children ages 8-18 for this project. Please submit the name, address, and phone number of two students to Soror Billie Rayford by Monday, February 12, 2001. Children must have signed permission slips in order to participate. The list of participants must be submitted to the organizations by Tuesday, February 13, 2001. Contact Soror Billie at 645-1105 or by fax 656-8883 or e-mail BillieRay@aol.com.
