I fin d that Mr. Comstock has not caught the reason fo r th is w e ll. I b e lie v e we now have s u ffic ie n t water at our sp rin gs to supply Las Vegas, but the proposed w e ll is to take the p lao e o f the north group o f springs and to e lim inate the open pond where the vegetation grows so rank and which causes a l l the com plaints.
