I agree.August 2 1970 To; Sichord 8aiIcy C.C. John Koushouris C*C. At Freeman C.C. David Name) C.C. irv Tarry From; Hard!a Friebarg We are decided that we are now going to put the "Victor's Award" show in syndication. We have done a meiling to ait of the UHF and VHF stations throughout the country. As a result, we have sold the show to KPLR in St. Louis, First National Sank in Minneapolis, and KLAS in Las Vegas. The start date (telecasting date) in these markets is still undecided, but as soon as the contracts come in, 1 will get the Information out. Meanwhile, we are now talking to New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and the salesmen are in a number of markets throughout the country. We have auditioned the show for TV Inc., which represents about 100 markets throughout the country and they expressed interest in the show and will advise u?½ soon as to where they can buy it. Ballantine Beer has told us that they will sponsor a portion of the show in their markets as long as they can get the individual stations in those markets to telecast* On top of this, J. Walter Thompson (Jack Ball) has insisted that he keep a tape for auditioning within the agency because his interest Is that strong. We explained that we cannot hold up selling until he makes a decision. If and when he does make a decision for a National buy, we can work out deals with the stations already sold.
