I agree.<% J. L*Ai ALLARD, CHAIRMAN chasTV. williams, commissioner ALFRED MERRITT SMITH, COMMISSIONER LEE S. SCOTT, SECRETARY Public Service Commission of Nevada Carson City August 23, 1949 YOUR FILE OUR FILE Las Vegas Land and Water Company Las Vegas, Nevada Attention: Mr. Al F0iger Dear Al: Enclosed herewith is copy of letter from the Las Vegas Motel Association, Inc., which is self-explanatory. As you probably know, the last order of the Commission issued in this respect was made in 1931 and at that time the term "motel" was unknown. However, aut'ocourts were prevalent at that time, most of which provided service for cooking and sleeping, but as of today the motel is more or less tantamount to the service of a hotel. Therefore, it is the opinion of the Commission that the motel rate should be equal to that of the hotel rate. I would appreciate hearing from you in this respect. Very truly yours, FUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NEVADA By i U$T Secretary LSS:ca Enel. TRBCaPBHT’ A-A Wti 5 ftH ki ^C'^fTRA itms
