$?╟÷ENfERTAINMIMNT, JUNE Wt 1963 Reno Evening Gazette and ..Nevada .-State' Journal 'Vive Les Girls' Revue Attracting Full Houses f At Nevada Lodge, Tahoe "Vive Les Girls," an exciting and colorful continental revue which enjoyed a long run in Las Vegas, is attracting full houses since opening June 25 in the new Topaz Room at the Nevada Lodge on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. The revue marks a historical note for the enlarged Nevada Lodge, largest resort-hotel-casino at the north end of the lake, in that this is the first time a full , scale production has been presented from a Nevada Lodge stage. Produced and directed by Frederic Apcar, who has staged productions in Paris, London and Rome, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, and the Eden Roc in Miami Beach, ?√ß this international show features 30 performers offering "adults -only" entertainment in song, dance and original musical presentations ?╟÷- complimented by unusual costuming and stunning stage settings. The cast of "Vive Les Girls" features performers from France, JEngland, Germany and Italy. The exotic Marya Linero headlines the show with her beauty and modern, interpretive dancing. Mario and Sheila, a continental acrobatic dance duo have given command performances for Queen Elizabeth II ox England and Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower. These ex citing performers have also appeared at the Copacobana in New York and the Eden Roc in Miami Beach. Three unique comedy acrdbats, the Sbardella Brothers, have been featured at the Stardust in Las Vegas. The singing and dancing team of Enrico and Elise were formerly members of the Rolland Petit Ballet of Paris and New York. Elise Vallee, a French chan- teuse follows in the grand tradition of Paris, and is a musical star in her own right. Jean VaUin is also from the Paris stage. He is one of ihe most popular young singers in Europe, feonny Baker has appeared in summer stock throughout the country. Her fresh, pleasing voice and lively dancing ability are rapidly establishing her as one of today's bright, young talents. The costumes for the show were designed by Jose Luis Vinas, and created by Lucia Boetti. Staging and choreography is by Ron Lewis of New York. Show times for "Vive Les Girls"' in the new Topaz Room are 10:45 p.m., 1:15 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. nightly except Mondays. January Jones and the Wilder Brothers are also on the bill in the new Topaz Room at Nevada Lodge. Entertainment from 7:30 p.m. till dawn is the new policy at Nevada Lodge.
