EXT., DESERT HIGHWAY WITH SIDE ROAD - DAY 89 Bashlk-s car streaks past the side road,, brakes, turns, roars back to the cutoff and into it. It*s not much of a road, this one. He?╟╓s kicking up a hell of a lot of dus fc?╟? WIPE TO: EXT, SECONDARY ROAD -t DAY 90 This, landscape makes Vasquez Rocks look like Disneyland. ?╟≤Bashik?╟╓s car, crossing it, may be the first motor vehicle through here since the invention of the electric self-starter. EXT. DESERT SPOT - DAY 91 Bashik driving more slowly and looking about. He pulls off the road (if it is_ a road), stops, gets out, looks about and sets out on foot across the howling boonies. EXT.
