Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS The following new applications for liquor licenses for the third quarter New of 1950 were presented to the Board for their consideration: GEORGE'S CAFE 410 W. Bonanza M. C. Quelch Retail Rest. Beverage ONI LUCK CAFE 501 Jackson Don Yee Retail Rest. Beverage TOPPER'S KITCHEN 419 So 5th Josephine Parrish Retail Rest. Beverage Commissioner Moore moved that the foregoing new liquor applications be granted pending investigation by the Police Department, with the exception of the application of Malcolm C. Quelch, George's Cafe, said license to be issued since there is already an investigation on file on Mr. Quelch. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved the application of Lewis E. Ball, Ball Grocery, 404 South 2nd Street for a Retail Package Liquor license for the third quarter of 1950 be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Bunker and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Moore passed his vote. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS The following applications for liquor licenses for the third quarter of Changes in Name, 1950, being changes in name and operator, were presented to the Board Operator, etc. for their consideration: CHARLESTON INN 17 W. Beverage Commissioner Whipple moved the foregoing applications for liquor licenses be granted pending investigation and recommendation by the Police Department of all new owners, and the licenses of the Coney Island Cafe, Dixie Waffle Shop and Modern Market be issued when letters from the former owners have been submitted to the City Clerk. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. ASSOCIATED Commissioner Moore moved the officers of the Associated Investigators be INVESTIGATORS requested to appear before the Board of Commissioners on July 7, 1950 to show cause why their license should not be revoked. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Peccole passed his vote. HOUSING AUTHORITY Commissioner Bunker moved the City Attorney be authorized to take whatever steps are necessary to assist the Housing Authority to test the Enabling Act permitting the construction of low cost housing. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before this special meeting, Commissioner Moore moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
