Budd Friedman Budd Friedman?╟╓s ?╟úImprov?╟Ñ is America?╟╓s original comedy showcase, starting in New York in ' 1963 and expanding to Los Angeles in 1975. It now joins the stage spectacular ?╟úSplash?╟Ñ and ?╟úAn Evening at La Cage?╟Ñ in the Riviera entertainment lineup. The Improv, has been the launching pad for many of the most famous names in entertainment today,including Steve Martin,. Richard Pryor, Bette Midler, Robin Williams, Lily Tomlin, Robert Klein, Stiller and Meara, Rodney Dangerfield, to name just a few, and even Barry Manilow (?╟úOne of my piano players,?╟Ñ says Friedman). The Riviera version of the Improv will also offer one of the best show bargains in Las Vegas. The $9.50 show price includes the show and dinner, or the show and two drinks, whichever the guest prefers. Guests will also have the choice of dinner in either the hotel s famous Gourmet Buffet or a meal in Jacopo?╟╓s Pizzeria, located in the-Riviera?╟╓s Mardi Gras Plaza. Currently the shows are running on the Arts and Entertainment Network. In addition*, ah anniversary show has been featured for the past year on Showtime. The Improv is built on 23 years of rich tradition. When Friedman first opened the doors of his New York Improv in 1963 on West 44th Street, talents such as Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli, Jason Robards, Dudley Moore, Albert Finney and Christopher Plummer lent their talents to the Improv stage. Through the years, Improv clubs have become famous not only for showcasing rising young stars of comedy, but also serving as a gathering place for superstars of today, who often take the stage Unannounced and delight audiences with impromptu bits. At Iniperial P Elvis Presley Museum Tour very successful traveling exhibit, the 1986 Elvis Presley Museum Tour, will be on display at the Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino May 11-17.
