I agree.Inter - Department Correspondence To|f All Departments Datp 6/15/70 From: A1 Freeman Subject: Notice of Special Event Telecast at Sands Starting July 10th through July 22nd, we will be photographing three different segments of the popular television series "Julia" starring Diahann Carroll. Following are the salient points: 1. Stars involved will be Diahann Carroll, Lloyd Nolan, Caesar Romero, Gary Crosby and Betty Beaird. 2. The sections of the hotel to be used will be: a. The Aqueduct Pool on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 14th, 15th and 16th. b. The hotel lobby on July 16th. c. Entrance to the hotel July 20th. 3. There will be approximately 155 members of the cast and crew within the hotel area during the above period, and they will be urged to wear a brightly colored cap with the name "Julia" on it to more easily identify them and to help expedite their production needs. 4. Rooming situations are being worked out with Ed Zike. 5. Mechanical requirements are being worked out with Ralph Flack and Lou Ricca. 6. Catering and feeding are being worked out with Lubi Draskovic and Mario Marino. 7. Transportation, trams, etc., requirements are being worked out with Jerry Garvey. SUMMARY These three segments of "Julia" have a family type theme and should be good for the image of Las Vegas and especially the Sands. Your usual fine cooperation is requested.
