I agree.Donn Arden Readying Huge i JO o Moulin Rouge Spectacular BY JOHN L. SCOTT Mellow orchestral music has given way to the harsh, rasping overture of carpenters' hammers and electric saws at the Moulin Rouge in Hollywood. Overalled workmen, instead of beautiful showgirls, walk about the huge stage, engaged in making it even larger for Frank Sennes' new, spec- tacular presentation, "Wonderful World." Next Thursday evening a festive crowd of first-nighters will be on hand to witness the unveiling of a lavish offering boasting three big production numbers staged and directed by Donn Arden. Anna Maria Alber- ghetti, winsome songstress, will headline. "Wonderful World" will cost $250,- 000 to produce. It reflects the confidence of Sennes in Hollywood as a potential world show center. Directly responsible for staging and directing the new footlight extravaganza is a former dancer now in his 40s who turned to behind-the-scenes activity 22 years ago when, as he says, "I found I was no Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly."
