427 WESTSIDE PARK Commissioner Peccole moved that pursuant to the recommendation of the Regional Planning Com- TRACT #1 mission under date of June 30, 1949 the tentative map of Westside Park, Tract #1 located in Tentative Map the S 1/2 of the NE 1/4, Section 22, T. 20 S., R. 61 E be approved subject to the conditions set forth by the Planning Commission, with the further recommendation by the Board that F Street be continued into Hill Street making a straight street. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS At this time the following gaming applications were presented to the Board for their consideration: ACE HI GARAGE B & H GROCERY BONANZA LIQUOR STORE BRAVO'S MARKET CHEVRON SERVICE STATION DESERT SNACK BAR FIRST STREET GROCERY JOES LUNCH THE MARKET SPOT DAN DEE BAR SPUDNUTS VIRGINIA'S CAFE WESTERN AUTO SUPPLY L. D. Tunnell Frank Lancaster Raymond Salmon Frank Lancaster Floyd F. Johnson Jack 0. Sloan S. Grant Stewart Joe Levine H. Levy Harold Estle Mathis Irving I. Gelsin Mgr. Ralph H. Russey Virginia Barrett Gayer Co. - Lee Hughes Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing applications for gaming licenses for the third quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. At this time the Following applications for additional gaming licenses were presented to the Board for their consideration: GOLDEN NUGGET LAS VEGAS CLUB SNYDER'S Guy McAfee, Wm. Martin Et By: Chester Cooper LAS VEGAS CLUB PARTNERSHIP By: A. F. Schellang L. L. Snyder Thereafter Commissioner Peccole moved that the foregoing applications for gaming licenses for the third quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of James W. Pickerell, Thrifty Market, Main and Charleston for three slot machines for the third quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of Sam Sterns, Sam's Saloon, 113 North 1st for two slot machines for the third quarter of 1949 be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. GAMING APPLICATIONS At this time the following applications for gaming licenses for the third quarter of 1949 were pre- Denied sented to the Board for their consideration: FREMONT TAVERN Inc. Cinnabar THE WESTERN CLUB Robert Testolin James Fare J. S. Pappas Benny Binion Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved that the foregoing applications for gaming licenses be denied on the same grounds as the motion previously adopted by this Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. LIQUOR APPLICATIONS Commissioner Whipple moved that the application of Walter G. Abies, Nevada Biltmore Hotel, 600 North Denied Main for a Retail Tavern and Retail Cabaret liquor license and the application of J. S. Pappas and Benny Binion, The Western Club, 109 Fremont for a Retail Tavern liquor licence for the third quarter of 1949 be denied on the same grounds as stated previously. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Moore, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
