146 SIGNAL OIL COMPANY Commissioner Baskin moved that the request of the Signal Oil Company ACQUISITION OF R/W for installation of a bulk plant on their property on South "A" Street, be approved, provided they will deed certain r/w along "A" Street and Boston Street, as recommended by the Planning Commission. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. TWA LEASE Commissioner Whipple moved that the Mayor and city Clerk be authorized to sign that certain lease between the TWA and the City of Las Vegas, when Certain conflicts between the City lease with the Western Air Express and the proposed TWA lease has been corrected to the satisfaction of the City Attorney. The City Attorney is directed to forward the corrected lease to TWA for initialing and upon return to the city, will be executed by the Mayor and City Clerk. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. SALARY-GEORGE Commissioner Moore moved that the board approve the salary of George SHANNON Shannon (over and above the Nevada Industrial insurance) for the period September 16th to 30th, 1947 in the sum of $51.40. AGREEMENT: Commissioner Moore moved that the proposed agreement between the City of SUPPORT OF FEDERAL Las Vegas and the United States of America for the support of Federal PRISONERS Prisoners be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign same. LAND USE: ZONE Commissioner Moore moved that the recommendation of the Joint Planning EXCEPTION #35 Commission of October 3rd, 1947 relative to zone exception case #35 to HAROLD STOCKER Harold Stocker covering lots 1-8 incl. and 13-16 incl. Blk 5, Ladd's Addition now on file and of record in the office of the City clerk, be approved. LAND USE: PLAY Commissioner Moore moved that the recommendation of the Joint Planning GROUP HUNTRIDGE Commission relative to the request of Mrs. 0. E. Kime to operate a play group DISTRICT, MRS. PROPOSED ORDINANCE An ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE EMPOWERING, AUTHORIZING, AND DIRECTING #340 ASSESSMENT THE EX-OFFICIO CITY ASSESSOR, OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, COUNTY OF CLARK, DISTRICT STATE OF NEVADA, TO LEVY A SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO DEFRAY THE COST OF MAKING CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS BY GRADING OR/AND SURFACING CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS ACCORDING TO THE PLAT, DIAGRAMS, AND ESTIMATES OF COSTS THEREOF ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS. RESOLUTION #105 Upon motion of Commissioner Moore duly seconded by Commissioner Whipple RE: PRESIDENT TRUMAN'S and carried unanimously the following resolution was adopted.
