21 It appearing that the Charter of the City of Las Vegas provided that a General Election be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May, 1947, for the election at large by the qualified voters of the said City, of a Mayor, two Commissioners of the first class and third class, respectively, a Judge of the Municipal Court, and a City Attorney, it is, therefore, ORDERED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, that such General Election be held in the City of Las Vegas on May 6, 1947, at which election there shall be elected at large by the qualified voters of the said City, a Mayor, who shall be elected and hold office for a period of four years and until his successor shall have been elected and qualified; two commissioners of the first class and third class, respectively, who shall be elected and hold office for a period of four years and until their successors are elected and qualified; a Judge of the Municipal Court, who shall be elected and hold office for a period of two years and until his successor shall be elected and qualified; and City Attorney, who shall be elected and hold office for a period of two years and until his successor is elected and qualified, and it is further ORDERED that the places in said City for holding said election are hereby determined as follows: Las Vegas Number 1 - Municipal Court Room Las Vegas Number 2 - City Library Las Vegas Number 3 - Corradetti Garage, Rear, 19 Lewis Las Vegas Number 4 - Clark's Garage, Clark Street, Main and 1st, South side Las Vegas Number 5 - MacDonald Hotel, 211 No. 5th Street Las Vegas Number 6 - Kaiser-Fraizer Agency - 507 Fremont Las Vegas Number 7 - Grammar School Gym Las Vegas Number 8 - Western Heating and Ventilating, 710 S. Main Las Vegas Number 9 - Royal Mattress Factory, 512 Bonanza Rd. Las Vegas Number 10 - Odd Fellows Hall, 110 No. 9th. Las Vegas Number 11 - Clark County Welfare Building Las Vegas Number 12 - Wengert's Garage, 6th & Charleston, 6th Street entrance Las Vegas Number 13 - Garage, 345 North 10th. Las Vegas Number 14 - High School Gym Las Vegas Number 15 - Roudidoux Garage, 605 South 9th. Las Vegas Number 16 - City Mercantile Co., 1220 South Main Las Vegas Number 17 - Garage, 1021 Francis Las Vegas Number 18 - Garage, 732 South 6th Street, facing Gass Avenue Las Vegas Number 19 - White Bunny Ice Cream, 517 South 5th. Tire Supply, 1531 South Main Las Vegas Number 32 - 400 Jackson, building on corner IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that pursuant to the provision of the Charter of the City of Las Vegas the Mayor shall forthwith make proclamation fo said election. ORDINANCE NO. 327 Adopted An ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE TO REPEAL ORDINANCE No. 238 OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REGISTRATION AND OPERATION OF BICYCLES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, '" was read to the Board for a second time. Thereafter Commissioner Clark moved that the foregoing Ordinance be approved and adopted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Baskin and carried by the following vote: Commissioner Baskin, Clark, Corradetti and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bates. BID No. 47.3 Invitations to bid on 2,064 square feet of asphalt tile on the floors Tile for Fire Station of the central Fire Station and Huntridge Sub-Station, and approximately 630 lineal feet of base board for the same stations, having been hereto- fore let for bid, and this being the time for opening said invitations to bid. There being only one bid returned which was from James Carson, 328 No. 8th Street, Las Vegas, Nevada and in the sum of $1275.30. Said bid was referred to the Comptroller for recommendation. BID No. 47.4 At this time bids for the excavation and backfill of a four hundred sixty (460) foot ditch for sewer at Central Swimming Pool in accordance with specifications furnished by the City and to furnish and install four hundred sixty (460) feet of 8" Vitrified Clay Pipe for sewer at the Central Swimming Pool in accordance with specifications were opened, from the following companies: NEVADA CONSTRUCTION LARKIN PLUMBING & HEATING COL Said bids were referred to the City Manager for recommendation. CHANGE ORDER #11 Commissioner Clark moved that Change Order #11 be approved. Police Station
