    Presented by; Lisa Russel
The Thanksgiving Holiday is a little more than month away, There are mang needg
families within the committee. Currently, there are only two committee members. We
are in need for additional members to help service needg families,
If you know of a family, or would like to see our chapter to sponsor a Thanksgiving
dinner for the needg (including homeless persons), please notify me as soon as possible,
I would like to increase the total number of families, or provide a Thanksgiving dinner
for the homeless and hungry. Therefore, we need additional financial support from you,
A reminder that Soror donations are important to the success of the program, A
suggested donation would be ^10^0 per Soror to be able to feed more families and or
    indiviuals,
If you are interested in sharing thanks with needy families and individuals, please
sign-up. In addition, if you know of a family that may need our assistance, give their

    November 7, 1998
    Presented by; Lisa Russell
The Thanksgiving Holiday is a little more Than two weeks away , We have a goal fo
feed 15 families fhis holiday season, Currently, fhe non-profif organization L,A,C,E, has
provided us 5 families wifh a fofal of 16 members, Soror Jacki Hall is providing 10
addifional families. Therefore, we would like fo provide a plenfiful baskef for each
    family.
To date, we have donated a fofal of $215,00 from the October, 1998 meeting, and have
an additional $50 to $75,00 remaining from last years holiday donation. However, we
would encourage those Sorors who have not yet donated to do so, or pledge to purchase
one holiday turkey. We are in need of 5 additional turkeys. The Lucky supermarket in
North Las Vegas has agreed to sell us the turkeys for $,49 per pound!!!!!
To help with providing a plentiful basket, if you would like to donate food items, please
sign the sheet that will be available at this meeting. We will be delivering the baskets
to the families on 5aturday November 21, 1998, The AKAfeens are assisting in stuffing
the holiday baskets. We would like to do so on Friday November 20, 1998 in the home
of Soror Lisa Russell, Since ! have a very flexible schedule, I will purchase the items
with the assistance of my mother. However, input on the food items is greatly
appreciated, A dinner list is available,
A reminder that Soror donations are important to the success of the program, A

Showers of Thanksgiving Blessings (Thanksgiving Basket Committee Report)
Food Baskets have been donated to three needy families, in the Las Vegas Community, for the past several years.
The chapter needs a $5.00 donation from each soror, in order to purchase food items, for the baskets.
Sorors, let us continue this project, and make it an activity, we will not forget.
The support and contributions will be in our thoughts and also in remembrance of our Soror Thelma Tyree, (Ivy Beyond The Wall).
    "Cone But Not Forgotten".

    Things to Be Thankful For
To good, green earth beneath our feet, The air we breathe, the food we eat, Some work to do, a goal to win, A hidden longing deep within That spurs us on to bigger things And helps us meet what each day brings, All these things and many more Are things we should be thankful for , . « And most of all our thankful prayers Should rise to God because He cares!
