404 GOLDEN NUGGET — Liquor Commissioner Baskin moved that the application of N. M. Keller, Golden Nugget Application Additional Partnership for an additional Retail Tavern Liquor license for the second quarter of 1949 be tabled until June 6, 1949. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Baskin, Clark, Moore and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple passed his vote. GAMING APPLICATIONS - At this time the following renewal and additional gaming applications for the Additionals & Renewals second quarter of 1949 were presented to the Board for their consideration: 2nd Quarter a) Renewals: Deluxe Cafe Vegas Enterprises 614 South 5th 1 slot Paul's Cafe Nick Coreneos l24 1/2 North 1st 2 slots b) Additionals: El Cortez Hotel 0. W. Glenn 600 Fremont 1 slot Westside Tavern 0. W. Glenn 206 Wilson 3 slots Thereafter Commissioner Baskin moved that the foregoing license be granted. Motion seconded by Commissioner Clark and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. $350,000 Bond Issue At this time His Honor read a letter from J. A. Burrows, Vice President of the Sewage Plant Purchase Edward L. Burton & Company, regarding the contemplated sale of the City of Las Vegas $350,000 Bond Issue - Sewage Plant Purchase, under date of May 24, 1949. After discussion was held, this letter was ordered filed. AUDIT OF ACCOUNTS At this time the Board of Commissioners acknowledge receipt of the Report on Audit 1948 Report of Accounts of the City of Las Vegas for the Calendar Year 1948 by George H. Wood, CPA, and ordered this report filed. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time Commissioner Clark moved that this meeting recess until June 6, 1949. Motion seconded by Commissioner Moore and carried by the following vote: Commis­sioners Baskin, Clark, Moore, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
