Mr. William J. Lemanski District Salas Manager CBS Electronics 1990 North Mannheim Road Melrose Park, Illinois Dear Bill, Thanks for your nice note about the Columbia Phonograph promotion this fall, and I believe it sounds real good but I would like to get a few points across. I would like to know hew much newspaper advertising will be done - what siae ads - and if we ean get a picture ofthe Sands included in the ad. We would like to know how many billboards will be used - and if we can also get a picture of the Sands on the billboards. The same goes for the window displays and any other printed material you might have planned. The whole idea is to show the Sands Just how much printed and visual display promotion we can guarantee in return for our defraying part of the expense of these trips. If we do approve the promotion, each trip would be for a four day period, from Monday through Thursday, based on the availability of accomodations. Each trip will actually be worth several hundred dollars in room and food value - but it is not the money value that is important to us - we are fortunately very busy all year around now at the Sands, and any reservations we give away as promotions have a great deal more value than the actual book value of the room and food itself. Therefore, it is important for me to be able to show the hotel just how much promotion I can guarantee in return for valuable room space. Rope to hear from you real soon - and please keep me posted. Kindest regards. A1 freeman
