Biographical / Historical Note

Ralph Roske's History 117 course at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) focused on the history of Southern Nevada and surrounding areas. Students in the early-1970s through the mid-1980s created projects including oral history interviews, local business history tracings, and historic building surveys that collected the history of the region. The historic building surveys collected architectural histories of local sites that ranged from demolished cabins on public lands to businesses in the heart of Las Vegas, Nevada.
