Abstract

Oral history interview with Arne Rosencrantz conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 18, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Rosencrantz discusses his family’s immigration story, him moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, and growing up within the Jewish community. Rosencrantz also discusses his involvement in the Las Vegas Jewish community over the decades.

Scope and Contents Note

Oral history interview with Arne Rosencrantz conducted by Barbara Tabach on February 18, 2015 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Rosencrantz shares his grandparents and father’s immigration story, which took them from Russian to Portland, Oregon. He also talks about moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, his childhood experiences within the Jewish community, and his family’s furniture business in the city. Rosencrantz also discusses his involvement in the Jewish community over the decades, including the Young Leadership Program, United Jewish Appeal, Temple Beth Sholom, and the Jewish Federation.
