AKATEEN Report
The AKAteens have been meeting on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays to practice for the unityfest which will take place March 11th. The girls have been working very hard and hope to see you in the audience. We have also been working very hard to put together the AKAteen Nubian King Scholarship Pageant. The girls have set all the basic guidelines and are currently in the process of soliciting places of business to donate prizes in the form of goods and/or services or donations towards the scholarship funds. We have already been told by Wells Fargo that once a formal presentation has been made by one of the AKAteens, they will be inclined to donate towards the scholarship. If any of you have any kind of experience in writing these types of presentations or have experience in the pageantry field, we would greatly appreciate yoi^input.
On February 26th some of the girls will be attending an educational workshop on the campus of UNLV. The other tadies are interested in attending our Founders Day Luncheon. If ^20.OO there are any sorors who would be willing to pay for the cost of their meals, there are ladies interested in attending. Please see either myself or Rhoda if you would like to help.
Respectfully Submitted,
Belisa M. Brownlee AKAteen Co- Chair
