Office Equipment: lae Vegas, lievada, April 27, 1932. /^1Tl9-4\ Mr. A. C. Head, General Manager’ s office. Hob Angeles,“California* Mgr dear Head: Hare been advised that yon have charge of unused office equipment which was stored on account of the many changes in different railroad offices, and a® wondering i f it is possible for us to secure two or three of the very much needed things for our office here in Has Vegas. An enclosing a pencil sketch of entrance railing which we want to put up to stop the general public from walking directly into the office when paying water accounts, and it makes little difference to me whether this is a wooden railing' or of woven wire. X understand that on account of the large reduction in clerical forces that there are a number of second hand desks in storage, and eg the desks in this office have been in use for many years and were second hand when acquired, 1 would like to turn heck one or two of thee© old desks for a more modern type, with chairs to match, *»e wish to exchange a drop-top type 32” x 60" typewriter desk, with drawers on each side; and a flat-top clerical desk of similar size, also having drawers on each side of the front, with two chairs to match,—one with arms and the other a stenographer * t chair. In exchange for these, we w ill return the two desks and two chairs we have on hand here. The outer office, size lS ’d" by 18' 2", with entrance strip 6* by 2*4", is solid cement floor, and i f it were possible to secure enough old battleship linoleum to cover this floor, it would add very much o the appearance and comfort and reduce the noise.
