Handwritten description provided on back of image: "N.S. 1st Commencement 6/3/64. Mrs. Cahlan (U. of N. 1895) and her son John Cahlan, being brought to the commencement exercise as honored guests by Mr. Jack de Fevre, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. Mr. de Fevre was responsible to setting up all physical facilities for the Nevada Southern first Commencement without any previous exercise for a guide, and very well done. W.D.C."
