Robert Scott Hooper, was an artist and photographer based in Las Vegas, Nevada who photographed diverse subjects over many decades. His work has been seen on the pages of newspapers and magazines worldwide, from Life to the cover of Playboy; featured on billboards, posters, postcards, phone cards and video game machines; and exhibited in galleries and private collections. He won numerous awards for his creations in graphic arts, commercial television production, advertising, print work, and even photographing a centerfold for Playboy.
Already a practicing architect, in 1962, Arturo Cambeiro, his wife and young daughter, were forced to flee Cuba as political exiles. Eight years later, Cambeiro opened his own architectural firm in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since then he has designated many beautiful buildings. They include: Las Vegas Senior Center, twelve elementary schools, several low cost housing projects and the ever impressive Thomas and Mack Center.
Mary Elizabeth von Till was born on April 16, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York. She is the fifth child of eight in her family. Her family moved around much of the Northeast as a child before settling back in Brooklyn at age twelve. She graduated high school in 1947 and went on to Barnard College, where she graduated in 1955. From there, Elizabeth moved on to graduate school at Northwestern University, where she met her husband, Claude Warren. The two married in December 1955.
