Scope and Contents

The photographs series of the JMA Architecture Studio Records are comprised of photographic materials (1953-2002) documenting the work of the American architect Jack Miller and/or his architectural firm, known as both Jack Miller & Associates, Architects, & Engineers, Inc and JMA Architects, Inc. This series includes 12 boxes of photographic materials documenting work on over 250 projects and focuses on the firm's work in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. The materials in this series may include: photographic prints, slides, film negatives, film transparencies, newspaper and magazine clippings, and computer print outs.

Oral history interview with Brian Block conducted by Diane Spero on February 27, 1979 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Block discusses the construction business, community planning, architectural design, and his personal feelings in regard to the development of the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Block also discusses legalized gambling, politics, mass transit problems, and other social and environmental changes in Nevada.
