Description
Interview with Essie Shelton Jacobs conducted by Claytee D. White on February 1, 1996. Jacobs arrived in Las Vegas 1963 and worked in housekeeping at Aladdin Hotel for twenty-three years. Active in the Culinary Workers Union Local 226, she worked as a supervisor and shop steward.

Description
From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VII. Other areas in Nye County -- Subseries VII.K. Miscellaneous. Sarah Locke, Madison Locke, and Sue Locke Holloway holding Jacque Holloway Lowery. The photo was taken at the lower, or original ranch. The old rock house, built in the late 1800s or early 1900s, was the second house built on the ranch.
