Station Casinos Menu Collection

Abstract

The Station Casinos Menu collection is comprised of digital food and beverage menus (approximately 2016) from hotel casino restaurants owned by the Station Casinos gaming company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Digital menus are from restaurants within Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino and a digitized Food Express Chinese Restaurant menu from Palace Station Hotel & Casino.

Abstract

The Patricia Craig Papers (approximately 1941-1989) contain photographs from Las Vegas, Nevada dancer and showgirl Patricia (Pat) Craig. The collection includes early photographs of her family, Craig as a young ballet dancer, and her high school diploma. The majority of the photographs of are Craig in costume on stage, candid photographs of her at home, and professional modeling shots. There are a small amount of newspaper clippings and magazines regarding Craig's appearances in Las Vegas shows, and her diploma from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Abstract

The Hank deLespinasse Photographs (approximately 1960-2002) contain the professional work of Hank deLespinasse while working in Las Vegas, Nevada. The photographs document a variety of events in the region. DeLespinasse photographed for Sports Illustrated and covered regional news events for TIME, Newsweek, and other local, national, and international publications. The collection contains 35mm, 120mm, and 4x5 film, slides, and contact sheets. Assignment numbers (also referred to as set numbers) are included when provided. Some assignment folders also contain contracts, newspaper clippings, and shoot-specific notes taken by deLespinasse.

Congregation Ner Tamid

Congregation Ner Tamid is the second oldest Jewish synagogue in the Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, founded in 1974. It is the largest Reform synagogue in Nevada, and has been led by Rabbi Sanford Akselrad since 1988. Ner Tamid is home to the Gary and Lynn Kantor Early Childhood Education Center and the Mark L. Fine Judaica gift shop.  It offers youth and adult education, as well as a Men’s Club, Sisterhood, and other social groups. In 2015, more than 600 families were members of Ner Tamid, and the congregation offered over 200 programs and activities in the course of a year.
