Otis R. Harris Jr. was born May 19, 1941 to Otis R. Harris Sr. and Florence Harris. In the early 1940s, after an argument with a white person, Otis Harris's father decided to relocate from Texas to California. During the trip west, he stopped in Las Vegas where they were hiring at the Basic Magnesium plant. Though he only worked there briefly, Las Vegas became home to the Harris family. In this interview, Otis talks about his father's hard working nature and being raised with seven siblings in Las Vegas.

Jerome Blankinship was born in Hollywood, California in 1933 to Herman and Helen Blankinship. Jerome grew up as an only child a in suburb of Los Angeles called Huntington Park. He spent his entire childhood in the suburb and finished high school there as well. Then he went on to attend the University of Southern California. He received a degree in education and wanted to be a school teacher, but after a short stint in teaching at the Los Angeles City School District, he discovered that it was not for him.

"Siegfried (Siggy) Knop, NWS, studied fine arts and motion picture arts at Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles and taught architectural illustration for twelve years. His own work in the field of fine arts has been exhibited in de Young Museum in San Francisco and the Pasadena Art Museum. In 1951, while still a student, Mr. Knop was accepted into the National Watercolor Society. He remains an active member today.

John G. (Jack) Fogliani, the eldest son of Lewis and Ceadora Fogliani, was born August 25, 1900 in Pioche, Nevada. Fogliani served as a Nevada Assemblyman for Lincoln County, Nevada from 1935 to 1936, and as a warden for the Nevada State Prison from 1959 to 1967 until he was fired by Governor Paul Laxalt following a prison break. District Deputy Labor Commissioner Leonard Blood worked for the Las Vegas Labor Commission, hiring employees for the construction of the Boulder (later renamed Hoover) Dam from 1931 to 1938 in Nevada. Blood, born on November 7, 1894, came to Nevada from Lincoln, Nebraska with his parents, William Blood, a train conductor and his mother, Carrie Blood, a nurse. During Blood's time as the District Deputy Labor Commissioner, it was his responsibility to hire employees for the construction of the Boulder Dam.

Flora Jones was born in 1953 in Delta City, Mississippi. Her family moved to Hollandale, Mississippi, in 1968, and Flora finished high school there in 1971. She helped work the cotton fields and pick tomatoes before finishing school, and then got a job at a carpet factory in Greenville after graduation. Jones attended Mississippi Valley State University for a year, got married in 1973, and moved to Chicago with her husband in 1977.

An advocate for compulsive gambling treatment, Dr. Rena Nora (1940-2008) worked for thirty years in the field of psychiatry. She held professional positions in New Jersey and Nevada, including President of both the New Jersey Psychiatric Association and the Nevada Association of Psychiatric Physicians.
