Oral history interview with Lawrence Nelson conducted by John Turner on February 22, 1977 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. He talks about the Old Mormon Fort, the importance of railroads in Las Vegas, and the construction of the Boulder (Hoover) Dam.

Oral history interview with Patricia Lappin conducted by Nancy Bright on February 26, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. The interview covers Boulder City, Nevada around Hoover Dam. The two discuss the different gambling habits between Southern Nevada locals and Las Vegas tourists. During the latter half of the interview, the two speak at length about the impact of nuclear waste on Nevada. Lappin explains the unique issues that Southern Nevada faces as one of three states to accept nuclear waste.

Oral history interview with Merle Frehner conducted by Robert Laas on July 05, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Frehner discusses atomic testing, freighting, the "Arrowhead Trail", the Great Depression, and Boulder (Hoover) Dam in Nevada.

The William Mors Audiovisual Collection (approximately 1989-2001) contains material created by William Mors Productions and the Las Vegas History Foundation. Subjects include Hoover Dam, entertainment in Las Vegas, Liberace, and the history of Las Vegas. The collection consists of vhs tapes, U-Matic tapes, betamax, and other formats and are originals, masters, edited masters, clips, and final production tapes.

Oral history interview with Willis Evans conducted by Kathleen Morgan La Spina on December 02, 1986 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Evans discusses arriving and living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Evans also discusses being involved in the civic organization, District Attorney Youth Advisory Group. The interview concludes with a discussion of Boulder (Hoover) Dam, and changes in Las Vegas’ economy, politics, and environment.

Oral history interview with Leo Dunbar conducted by Jay Brewer on May 05, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Dunbar discusses the growth of Boulder City, Nevada, the construction of Boulder (Hoover) Dam, and World War I.

The Barbara and John Kizziar Photograph Collection primarily contains black-and-white photographic prints and negatives of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) construction during John Kizziar’s time working for Six Companies Inc. between approximately 1986 and 1992. These images are reproductions of originals taken from between approximately 1930 and 1945. They detail John Kizziar’s work life during the dam’s construction, as well as events and scenes associated with the dam. Other images portray billboards and streets in Boulder City, Nevada. The collection also depicts other locations in Nevada, including Las Vegas, Mount Charleston, Black Canyon, the northern Mojave Desert, and the Colorado River ferry crossing between Nevada and Arizona.
